Anna is a nutritional therapist at Ashgrove Health Clinic in Higham Ferrers. She helps clients improve digestion, energy levels, and overall health through personalised, evidence-based dietary advice and nutritional planning.
Anna’s passion for nutrition began at a young age, rooted in a deep personal experience. After losing her mother during childhood, she was inspired to look after her health. Although her mother wasn’t a trained nutritionist, she naturally guided the family towards wholesome, garden-grown food. Anna fondly recalls being the child at school with carrot sticks and a soup-filled thermos — a memory that still shapes her approach to food and wellbeing today.
Before pursuing a career in nutritional therapy, Anna worked in finance. In her early years, she was driven, ambitious, and constantly on the move. The job was exhilarating — packed with travel, long hours, and more coffee than she cares to admit. However, health took a back seat. “It was an exciting time,” she says, “but blimey, was I tired.”
Becoming a mother shifted Anna’s priorities. Her interest in health deepened while working at a specialist wellness retreat, where she saw first-hand the power of nutrition. Motivated to learn more, she enrolled at the College of Naturopathic Medicine. Over three intensive years, she trained in naturopathic nutritional therapy and proudly graduated with distinction.
Just four months into her studies, her three-year-old daughter developed worrying symptoms — frequent bedwetting, extreme thirst, and fatigue. Drawing on her new knowledge, Anna quickly recognised the signs of Type 1 Diabetes. Her prompt action led to an early diagnosis, which made a crucial difference. Since then, she has continued the Type 1 journey alongside her daughter and now specialises in supporting both children and adults living with diabetes.
Anna offers nutritional therapy in Higham Ferrers with a warm, personal approach. Her clients appreciate her lived experience and passion for science-based, holistic care.
