Gillie is a qualified acupuncturist at The Ashgrove Clinic in Higham Ferrers. She specialises in women's health treatements, mental health, and overall wellbeing.
Gillie is known for her calm, gentle approach and holistic treatments that support emotional wellbeing, hormonal balance, and relief from a wide range of symptoms. She regularly works with people experiencing anxiety, migraines, menstrual problems, fertility challenges, chronic stress, and other long term health concerns.
Before training as an acupuncturist, Gillie worked for many years as a registered general nurse before later specialising in district nursing. Her nursing background gives her a strong understanding of both physical and emotional health, and helps her provide thoughtful, patient centred care.
Gillie graduated from The Acupuncture Academy in 2020 with a Distinction in the Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, a three year degree level qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. During her training, she was also commended for her clinical work.
Her training covered all aspects of Chinese medicine and acupuncture theory, with a particular focus on the Five Element approach. This means she looks beyond individual symptoms, taking into account the wider picture of each person’s health, lifestyle, and emotional wellbeing when planning treatment.
Gillie is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) and adheres to the Council’s Codes of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct. Members of the British Acupuncture Council are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority, the government appointed body responsible for overseeing standards in health and social care.
