If hip or groin pain is affecting your movement or daily comfort, our expert hip pain treatment in Higham Ferrers can help you recover and stay active. The most common hip and groin problems we see are osteoarthritis and strains from sports injuries.
As you’ll see from our page on osteoarthritis, science has shown that even if you’ve got very bad arthritis on an x-ray, it doesn’t mean that that is the cause of your pain. Plenty of people have terrible-looking arthritis on their imagery, but have no pain. So please don’t panic if your x-ray report sounds scary.
The good think is that osteopathy and physiotherapy can help with arthritic pains. We can do hands-on treatment and help you with posture, exercises and how to use your body well during the day.

Pain in the groin can be referred to the groin by arthric changes in the hip. It can also be caused by strains to the area (usually caused by sports injuries) or by pain referred from the back. As always, it’s really important to find out what the underlying problem is as you don’t want to waste time doing exercises for a groin strain if the problem is your back.
Sports injuries, which tend to be sprains and strains to the hip and groin we treat with hands-on treatment, exercises and /or K-Laser treatment.
We’re lucky to have so many options to treat that strain of yours. Our request is that you don’t leave it too long to get it looked at – it’s normally easier and faster to fix and injury like this if you get in quickly.
Pierre says:
