Therapy related question. e.g. Do you struggle with leg pain?

Your body is doing something remarkable.
We can help it feel that way.

Pregnancy brings extraordinary changes, and sometimes extraordinary discomfort. Some of our osteopaths specialise in supporting women through this exciting and nerve-wracking time.

You shouldn't just have to put up with it

Pain and discomfort in pregnancy are common. That doesn't mean they're inevitable, or that you simply have to manage until the baby arrives. Many of the things that make pregnancy physically hard can be assessed, understood and helped.

- Low back pain
- Pelvic girdle pain (PGP)
- SPD
- Hip pain
- Rib and upper back pain
- Breathing discomfort
- Sciatica
- Sleep position discomfort
- Postural changes
- General tension and fatigue

Who you'll see

All of our osteopaths who have specific experience and training in treating patients through pregnancy know how to help with postural problems and how to advise on things you can do to help you stay mobile as you get bigger.

Appointments are never rushed, and treatment is always adapted carefully to your stage and comfort.

Brooke Robinson

Osteopath -  postgraduate diploma in women's health and pelvic health

Brooke has completed a three-year postgraduate course in women's health and pelvic health, one of the most in-depth qualifications available in this field. She brings specialist understanding of pelvic floor function, pelvic girdle pain, and the musculoskeletal changes of pregnancy that goes beyond standard osteopathic training.

Brooke also offers 1-2-1 pregnancy sessions to help you make the whole pregancy a positive experience.

What happens at your appointment

Your first appointment is a full assessment, not a rushed treatment. We want to understand how your body is adapting to pregnancy before we do anything else.

Your history. We discuss your pregnancy, any previous pregnancies, and how your symptoms started and progressed.

Postural and movement assessment. We look at how your body is adapting, where it's coping well and where it's under strain.

Gentle, adapted treatment. Osteopathic treatment in pregnancy is modified throughout. Every technique is chosen with your stage, comfort and safety in mind.

Advice you can use immediately. Practical guidance on positions, movement, sleep and daily habits that can make a real difference between appointments.

Care that continues after your baby arrives

At the clinic we also offer postnatal osteopathy, infant feeding support and breastfeeding consultancy with our FEDANT-registered breastfeeding consultant. Many of our patients begin their care during pregnancy and continue it with their baby after birth, with practitioners who already know their history.

That continuity matters.

Brooke says:

"It's such a joy to see women blossom through their pregnancy and to see them start to enjoy the process."
