If you’re experiencing stiffness, reduced mobility, or chronic back and neck pain, our expert spondylosis treatment in Higham Ferrers can help restore comfort and function.
Spondylosis is a general term used to indicate degeneration in the spine. It sounds quite scary, but read on – you’ll see that it doesn’t mean you have to panic.
Sometimes, either due to age or previous injuries, the joints in your neck or back can suffer from wear and tear. This can cause a variety of pains that vary from stiffness to sharp pains and aches.
It’s important to understand that the wear and tear seen on an x-ray or scan does not relate to the amount of pain you’re in. And it doesn’t mean that you’re stuck with the pain.
These days we know that treatment and exercise can really help reduce the pain and improve your mobility.

When you get the results of your x-ray or scan it’s a good idea to take them to your osteopath, physiotherapist or sports therapist so we get the full picture.
But even when we see the results, we will want to examine you and carry out some movements with you to see whether the pain is being aggravated by a problem elsewhere, or being caused by a bit of stiffness that needs freeing up.
Wear and tear is a natural part of the aging process, but appropriate treatment and exercises can help you feel good again.
Steven Bruce says:
“Spondylosis can cause anything from crippling pain to mild aches. Treatment can ease both ends of the spectrum.”
