Max joined the clinic when he was two and a half. He was not very well socialised with other dogs when he came to us, and it took a lot of hard work (and a few tears of frustration) to help him understand that other dogs are fun to be with. During that time we also taught him that guinea pigs must not be eaten and chickens must not be chased.
After 18 months with us he was happily mooching around in the garden with the guinea pigs and chickens roaming around next to him. Occasionally he’ll even share a bone with Rosa the chicken.
Max is a reminder that hard work generally pays off, and that if you want a dog to behave well you have to put the time in.
