Never Mind the Peregrines

...here are the blackbirds!

Sure, the Peregrines are a wonderful annual sight as they hatch and fledge their chicks from the St Mary's bell tower.

But also every year, a pair of blackbirds find somewhere to nest in the Ashgrove Clinic garage.  It's never the same nest because, as you can see, they have a habit of building on removable items - in particular Steven's Workmate.

There are three very pretty blue eggs in the nest at the moment - hopefully we'll see some chicks very soon.  In the meantime, Steven is keeping the parents topped up with mealworms!
